Is it bad to feel/be hungry? Why?!


Question: I'm not implying starvation, but to just eat less, and be hungry from time to time during the day, is it really all that bad?
To be hungry isn't painful.
But if it's truely bad for you, why is it?

It is not bad to feel hungry. When our bodies feel hunger pains, it is a signal that we are low in fuel. It is our way of nourishing our body. Our bodies need fuel to maintain a high energy level to do the things we need to during the day. Our thinking process work on this level as well. Depending on your age and body mass and your activity level will determine how many calories you will need and burn. When we starve our bodies of this nourishment, we are actually robbing our bodies needs. Sometimes we eat out of emotional stress or boredom and this is not healthy as well. Consult your doctor as to how much you should eat and when. Eating on a regular basics throughout the day will keep your blood sugar level at an even level keeping you from feeling hungry.

If you want to eat less you have to first understand why you would eat more. Did you know when you eat diet foods your stomach acid dissolves them almost instantly when you eat fruit it doesn't get broken down as fast by your stomach. Also when you eat food like fast food they have added chemicals to make you want to eat more and your stomach stretches. I think what you're trying to say is that although you eat, you still feel hungry, and you want to know if that is bad. In order to maintain an acceptable weight, one must feel hunger. Obese individuals eat til they never feel hunger. Although hunger is an uncomfortable feeling, and at sometimes even painful, it will keep you living longer than if you keep feeding it. That is why there are set recommendations for individuals. Women no more than 2000 calories, and men no more than 2500 calories.

It's only bad if you're not eating enough in general, or if you only ate a piece of toast for breakfast then gorge for dinner.

it's jus minerals and protein ur body might need. it's good to be hungry but not to hungry cause ur body is working everything it has to supply minerals and supplements to needed areas such as the brain, inside of the stomach and muscle fibres etc. i would say try vitamin pills and ur good after that. ur teeth won't fall out or lose ur hair. to be a "bit" hungry means ur body is healthy and burning fat,fat people arn't hungry beacuse they ate too much.understand? peace
