I know a little bit. Unfortunatly we can't afford to eat all organic, but I try to make sure my sons diet is mostly organic. Organic milk, organic meats, whole grain organic pastas, we even give him organic mac and cheese. I just don't like the idea of all the hormones and antibiotics that are put into the meats and milk.

It's more expensive than other foods. Organic prodice isn't grown with chemicals that kill bugs because those aren't very good for you. Organic dairy and meats are from animals that are not fed hormones and are fed organic food. It's better for you, so it's worth the extra money.
Organic foods are raised naturally - without pesticides. Some foods are sprayed much more than others. I have posted a page at my website listing the most and the least sprayed products if you are interested.

I know a whole lot about organic foods. I have been farming sustainably for over 15 years, 8 of those years as a certified organic grower.
I am familier with the USDA regs. I have been selling what I sow for 15 years and know about farmers markets, CSA's, Co-ops, etc..
I am currently much more into local foods rather than industrial organic and have been working to resurrect the local food/farm shed in SW Ohio-creating markets so farmers and customers can get together more easily
What do you want to know?
BTW anyone who says organics is about not using pesticides has zero idea what they are talking about. Pesticides are allowed in organics. people the USDA organic regulations are posted on the web, please familierize yourself with them before posting wrong statements about organic farming.
