Is It Possible to Lose 50 to 80lbs in 5 months...?!

Question: I'm not morbidly obese, but I have a large structure. I need a lot of work in my stomach and thigh, also upper arm, areas. At the beginning of July I'm going with a bunch of friends to Walt Disney World and I want my body to look good and be healthy.
Is it possible for me to lose enough wait to go from a size 18/20 to a size 12/14 in 5 months??? And I know to eat right and exercise, but is there any specifics???

50 is possible, but it's pushing it. You have to remember that if you're working out, you're going to put on some muscle so instead of losing 50 lbs. on the scale, you may only lose 30, but you may still fit into that size 12/14 in 5 months. It will take a lot of discipline with your eating and exercise, but make sure that you do eat. The less calories you take in, the lower your metabolism will drop and you will plateau or begin to gain weight because you're not eating enough. I wore a size 18/20 when I first started working out, but was able to wear a size 14 after only losing 35 lbs. so it really makes a big difference not in the actual "weight" lost, but the fat that is burned and replaced by great looking muscle. Make sure that you throw in some strength training to get a great toned/defined look, and with a great tan, you'll look even leaner. Good luck and enjoy the trip!

50... possibly with an extreme exercise program like on the biggest loser.... 80 could be deleterious to your health.

It is probably possible to lose 50-80 lbs in 5 months, but it is in no way healthy. If you'd like to lose weight, go for it, but don't do so at the expense of your health. There are a lot of stores that sell hip-trendy clothes for plus-sized women, but many of us (and I say us because I'm a size 22) don't know about them. Torrid, Rainbow, and Lane Bryant are some of them, and Fashion Bug and a few other stores have plus-sized sections.

Dress well for the body you have, and you'll look good, and be healthy!

Hope this helps.

is it possible? Yes. Is it healthy? No. Should you try to do it? No.

yes, its possible but you wont get the diet meds in the usa, go to mexico, maybe you can sneak them over. thr reason you cant get them here is because it will give you liver damage

well I'm not to large but i have 3 people close to me that kind of are and what I have seen work the best are 2 things
the first thing that I use and like alot that will keep you very fit fast is called "body for life " it is a great book and tells you so much things the 2nd is called "nutrasystem" you might have seen it on tv but they send you all your food and stuff and it really works this might make you lose 50lbs in 5 months but it all depends on you if you try really hard and do 110% it might work but it might not so just do as much as you can and lose as much as you can and just go to disney land anyway dont let your wight hold you back or discourage you just keep trying and you should be good
