Are Brazil Nuts unhealthy?!

Question: I've heard they are full of oil, but I love to eat them. Are they bad for you?

Answers: I've heard they are full of oil, but I love to eat them. Are they bad for you?

They are one of the best sources of monounsaturated fats (good fats that help with cholesterol) and a source of selenium (a mineral that most people don't get enough of).

Chow down!

Brazil nuts is are very good for you. It is too bad that so many have fallen prey to the mantra that fats are evil. Fats are a very improtant part of life. You increase nutrient absorption by eating fats.

All eatable nuts have a lot of oil, but the healthy type. And they are high in calories, but also in a lot of good nutrients.

Only be bad for you if you ate too many. But that's true of anything. Handful a day will be good for you.
