When you have a ''cheat day'', how many extra calories should yo!

Question: Make your body happy, and have as many as you want!!! When I am extra hungry/craving, I just go with the flow and eat...the next day, I practically don't want anything at all! I make it a point to listen carefully to what my body is telling me.

if you are fat just eat less and leave some food for us skinny folk

you should not have a cheat day,

If you do need one, just get the one thing you are craving, not a whole day of junk.

1000 but thats it

dont go crazy on what you crave, limit yourself

Well if you eat 1200 calories a day, you can probably eat 300 extra calories - and I'm talking about junk or processed food*

The whole idea of using food as an emotional tool is at the heart of most people's weight loss issues. An effective diet will be the key to losing and keeping off weight. Starving and then binging will lead to weight gain.

I know a lot of people who when they slip and eat more calories promise themselves that they will exercise that much more.

I do weight watchers and my weigh in is on a monday....after the weigh in I eat whatever i want i treat myself to a takeaway chocolate crisps(whatever) its my one evening to cheat and then i go straight back to it the next day..i do much better overall in my diet because i dont feel deprived..you cant worry about calories all the bloody time you have to treat yourself too!!!!!

Have your cheat days when you are menstruating, because you burn up to 300 extra calories per day. So you can have an extra 300 calories, and then have to other days to wear it off. so not really cheating.

Don't think so much about the number of calories as the portion size of your cheat foods. Even though you are splurging, you should still try to exercise your willpower and eat relatively healthy with the splurge foods added. I have a list, and any time I think of something I totally want that I know my body doesn't, I write it down and save it for the splurge day. I may eat anywhere from 1-3 of the items on the list in one day, but I still control my portion size to make sure I am not overeating, and I try to have the same amount of fresh fruits and vegetables that I would have on a normal day. It's not like the salad or fresh orange is going to make those splurge foods taste bad, is it? I also try to limit the fried food to once every 6-12 months, or not at all. If you can not eat that kind of stuff for even one month, you will feel the difference in your energy level and you actually start not wanting those kinds of food. I know it sounds crazy, but I was there, and now I am fit, I feel great, and I put things in my body that will directly affect the results I see on the outside, as well as fuel my body properly on the inside. Hope this helps!
