Answers: 24 yrs old, 205 lbs.. tired of being fat!

You should calculate your (BMR Basal Metabolic Rate) to see how many calories you burn and how many you should eat in a day.

So say you BMR is 1400 then you times it by your activity level

So....

4- Insane workout
3-Trainer
2- Work out about 30 mins a day
1- Work at a desk all day

Say your a 3

So you x Your BMR (1400) by 1.3 = 1700

To maintain a your current weight you eat 1700 calories a day.

To lose weight you eat less about 1200-1400

To gain weight (or muscle mass) you would eat about 2000+

Running is the best way to lose weight.

I don't know, but you should eat about 1800 if you want to lose weight. 2000 is the recommended daily.

I am not sure about the boys, but I remember Jillian saying to one of the female contestants that she must eat 1500 calories a day.

that is a link to a calorie calculator. everyone's body is different. what a calculator does is give you a starting point. believe it or not, you have to eat to lose weight, but you have to eat at a level that allows loss but no so low that your body enters starvation mode and shuts down.

with me riding an hour a day, lifting weights and running three days a week, i set my calories at 3500 a day, and i generally lose 1-2lbs a week. use the calculator to get an idea what you use, subtract 300 to begin with and adjust your diet to that level. watch the scale, if you lose you are ok. if you are hungry all the time and eating healthy, you may need to up it some. if you dont lose, you may need to reduce it further.

Each on on Biggest Loser is treated individually. Calories will be based on what it takes to maintain your weight MINUS 500 calories. Then of course they work out like something FIERCE!!!! It all works together to get you to your goal!
