Humans are meant to eat meat. Trust me. But as to your other question; average vegetarians are more health conscious than your average person who eats mcdonalds and other garbage. Those results are skewed in favor of vegetarians. You should look for a poll that includes only healthy eating meat people and healthy eating vegetarians. Also your facts are incomplete and skewed as well. Here is one easy example off the top of my head. Snakes have no claws. Snakes eat meat. Humans have no claws. The stuff that you have said can be easily refuted and skewed in my favor. However I am not the best person to do it so I won't try.

I'm starting to believe so after reading this book called Skinny B!tch

i think vegitarianisms is SO much healthier. I have been a vegitarian for about three years and have never been in beter health my whole life. I think we were not ment to eat meat

meat eaters talking animals

i strongly believe that humans wwerent made to eat meat. sure it is a good source of protein and vitamins. but so is beans and tofu and fruit and veges. vegetartianism all the way baby!

This human is an omnivore. I might live ten years longer if I ate only vegetables, but it would seem like twenty. Tonight I'm off to the bar for chicken wings and beer....good luck with your interest in saliva.

Humans were meant to be omnivorous. Scavengers, if you will. They ate what they could get, be it meat, grain, or plant-roots.

I wish all people were vegetarian because they would be healthy.

Well, I will agree that humans are meant to eat more vegetables than meat.... but our bodies have adapted to let us eat cooked meat. That doesn't mean that it is the best for us - or that it is bad for us...... it just is.

You left out Omnivore. Which is clearly what we are. I don't know of anyone that lives only on meat. Perhaps some of those adkins crazies. This is an obvious flaw in your argument.

as too the health value of being a vegetarian;

The average vegetarian probably lives 10 years longer because, on average, they are more concerned with health. What is the percentage of vegetarians vs the norm, that live active lifestyles (IE. exercise regularly, outdoor activities). What is the percentage of the norm that don't eat well balanced meals with proper portions.

As a culture in America, we eat too much crap and don't exercise enough. It skews your statistic about the average lifespan of a vegetarian vs. the norm.

Perhaps we werent meant to eat red meat. It takes far too long to digest but our bodies have no issue at all with fish. It stands to reason that we were meant to eat them and we do have canines. They may not be as pronounces as a carnivores but it fits into the category of omnivore rather nicely...

I like meat......I can rationalize all day, every day.

According to the Ancient Vedas which are the original "How to" books given by God (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, etc.)at the time of creation. That humans are to be vegetarian. If one does not know the laws of karma then they will cause harm to other living beings and then to themselves. (what goes around comes around) Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita "As long as their is animal slaughter, there will be war and famine." We can not expect to support the slaughter of innocent animals for out tongue and belly and think we will not get repercussions. Animal slaughter is a grave sin and people will have to be killed for the killing they support by eating meat.

If this message doesn't change ones heart to be vegetarian then they are stone hearted and have no conscience.
Join me in helping end war and starvation by being vegetarian. One animal at a time one person at a time. Be the example of peace. We will never have peace until we stop this nasty habit of eating the flesh of innocent animals and allowing them to be mercilessly slaughtered.
