Is 24 hour fitness worth it? Does it work?!


Question: I'm thinking about joining 24 hour fitness but it's very costly. Is it worth all the money? Does it actually work? Am I actually going to get healthier and buffer if I join and work out?

if you're really going to work out every day (or at least several times throughout the week), then yes you will be healthier, and yes it will be worth it.

however, it depends on what kind of exercise you're doing. if you want to use weights and all those machines, the gym would probably be your best option (unless you try to find a smaller gym). if you just want to go running/biking, doing it on your own in the great outdoors might be your best choice.

if there's a college campus close to you, you may be able to join their gym - it's usually a lot cheaper than 24-hour fitness.

Frankly I would rather just go to a local gym and have my own work out routine, you don't have to waste alot of money and join an exclusive club to get fit and healthy.

I've had a 24hr Fitness membership for 3 years, and it has had it's ups and downs. All of those have been due to my own motivation (or lack thereof). Basically a gym membership is only going to be as good as you're dedication to working out, no matter which gym you join. And 24hr Fitness doesn't have to be so over the top expensive. You don't have to sign up for a personal trainer and all that stuff. They have a lot of different plans for different budgets and needs.
