Does weight lifting stunt growth?!


Question: I was wondering cause I'm worried that working with weight machines and doing situps will cause me to be short. I do drink 3 cups of milk everyday, but I'm not sure if that helps.

First off, milk doesn't help bones to grow anymore than without milk. Milk just helps make bones stronger and reach their full potential.
Weight lifting shouldn't be started until you are at least 14 because it messes with your hormones and can cause your muscles to get bigger and stop the growing of them at the same time. Although you do want bigger muscles, this will stop growth somewhat, but it won't completely stop growth.

if your under 13 yes doctor do not advise it
