Will I lose weight?!

Question: Im 16 years old, 5'9 and weigh 261 pounds. I dont go to school at the moment because of personal issues. And being self concious of my weight. Right now I have too much time on my hands. My sleeping pattern is going to sleep at about 4am and getting up at 1 am.

If I go to bed at 8-9pm each night, and wake up about 6am, eat breakfast, walk for an hour on the treadmill. Then eat lunch, and then eat a snack like a turkey sandwhich or something, and then eat dinner. And then after that walk an hour on the treadmill. Will I lose weight? My brother was 17 and weighed 240 pounds and walked about an hour a day and lost 20 pounds in 3 months.

I started doing this back in the fall and lost 10 pounds. Then the weather got bad. Here in michigan its terrible. I usually walk when the temp isnt below 15 degrees farenheit.

Ok, no more soft drinks and junk food. Try diet soft drinks if you must. ABSOLUTELY no junk food. Also, NO MORE PIGGING OUT. If you do that then you are clearly not trying your hardest to lose weight.

When you do get the treadmill walk for at least 2 hours a day. When that becomes easier for you increase it to 2.5 or 3.

Also, to be more muscular try sit-ups and push-ups and contineu using the dumbbells.

Eat healthy. Eat a salad. Also, bananas are excellent sources of energy so eat that before you work out. Don't eat at least 2 hours before bed.

Also, remember that losing weight is a bit difficult but its achievable. It will take time but the end results will change your life.

good luck.

You seem like an honest respectable guy. If truth be told, portions are the problem, try making your meals beforehand so you know your limit, if this cant be done at supper and such, only have one portion, no seconds!

Your doc was correct about the soda aswell. Even if its just one a day, it would help to cut it out. Theres nothing good about having soda. Not to mention any junk food. No junk food, no junk food! I cannot stress that enough, no oils, fats, grease, fast food. None of it.

If you walk, jog, and burn the calories, ona religious schedule, you will see some progress givin the right time. Stay with it, and goodluck.

For every pound of weight you should drink half your body weight in OZ's
Cut out sodium, sugar, pop & white flour
Try not too eat red meat, hard to digest
Eat lots of Fruit & Veg
Jump on a trampoline every day for 10minutes at a time, this equals 1 hour of walking
I lost 80 Lbs in 4 months

In addition, you need to flush out the toxins in your colon, ROYAL TEA or BIOXY
Take GREENS PLUS daily

Good Luck!!!

If you have the will power to continue, you can lose weight. Remember: If you think you can, YOU CAN. But if you think you can't - you're right.

Start by slowly eliminating the sodas, replace them with flavored waters. Second, and most important in my opinion, is to eat only until you're satisfied, NOT until you're full. That's the biggest thing that helped me lose 40 pounds in 3 1/2 months. Snack on a piece of fruit, only one piece! By controlling the amount of food you intake, you'll be able to reduce the size of your stomach. Remember, your stomach is a muscle, if to fill it / stretch it, it will grow. When your stomach grows, it takes a higher volume to fill it (thus over-eating). Keep up the exercise - DO NOT PUT IT OFF UNTIL SPRING OR SUMMER! Do you have stairs at your house? Start walking them a few times a day, then after doing that for a few days, do it a few MORE times during the day. Keep up the good work! Don't expect to lose it all at one time. Losing weight takes time - don't give up! Remember this old adage: If you HAVE to eat an elephant, you do it one bite at a time. Best of luck, I'll keep you in my prayers.
