Is eating a different variety of fruit the same as eating vegetables?!

Question: At a meal if you eat carbs and protien, dont eat any veggies but then after the meal you eat fruit, is it the same? I mean you need to have carbs/protien/fiber/fat in every meal right? So can we substitute fruit for veggies?

well, many of both are high in antioxidants and nutrients, however, fruit is generally higher in calories and sugar than veggies. So you could eat more veggies and still maintain or lose, whether on low calorie or low carb.

This doesn't mean that fruit's a bad choice (in fact they're awesome), it just means that they are different and not the same thing.

Enjoy both, your body will thank you, Just eat the most nutrient dense veggies and fruits that you can find

NO!

the veggies are less calorie dense and have far less sugar than fruits. both are healthy, but the fruits have enough calories to be a problem if you are tight on calories for the day.
