What's the best thing to take for lunch?!

Question: I'm a busy grad student and I spend my days in the library, including the lunch hour.

Normally I skipped lunch and just went from 8-5:30 without eating, but I keep hearing that's a bad thing to do.

So, then, what's a good for you food that doesn't need to be refrigerated, doesn't smell (that's just inconsiderate!), and is quiet to eat? I don't like most sandwiches.

Well, I pack my lunch a lot so I can give you some ideas. Since you don't like sandwiches, do you like wraps? Filling a flour tortilla or a whole wheat wrap with chicken breast, lettuce, onion, tomato, and salsa, hummus, or mustard is an great choice. You could also fill it with things like turkey, ham, veggies, peanut butter, fruits, and things like that. Leftovers like pasta salad or chicken are also great. You could bring a container with salad topped with veggies, nuts, dried fruits, and lean meat with some light dressing on the side. I've also brought a protein bar, apple, sliced veggies, and a yogurt for a quick and easy lunch. If you don't like any of these, you could always stop at subway. lol :P

I like pasta. You can have a different taste eac time. Or crakers n cheese or salad (fruit salad, greek)

I like salads and also they make little meals at walmart and target now that are made and ready to take!

PB&J is always good.

ever tried a toasted sub? go to subway or perhaps a salad

Oh don't skip lunch do you hear me don't its a wrong thing to do!Eat lots of fruit maybe a drink or some snacks.

a few handfuls of cereal
cereal bars
fruit

eat small fruits like grapes and bananas in medium portions

i work at a gym and i'm always running around, so my lunch usually consists of almonds, a yougurt, cut up veggies in a container, a bag of berries, and a can of tuna with no mayo, and just some pepper... and some egg whites, this lunch is good if you have a fridge where you are.
if not take leftovers from the night before, like your dinner. chicken brast, bown rice and veggies, you can eat it cold and it still taste good. salsa is a good fat free sauce as well!

Peanut butter on crackers. Either buy the prepackaged ones or make your own. The protien in the peanut butter will give you some energy. Peanut butter can get fattening, but not if you only eat 1 serving a day. Don't use super hard crackers that crunch a lot. Saltines or Ritz crackers will be fine.

'Quite to eat' - will you be eating IN the library?!
Anyway, I think fruits and vegetables will be good for you. Have them plain or make a salad.
