You may have reached a plateau. I wouldn't say you need to work harder, though. It may be that you cannot lose that extra 5 pounds because of muscle. Stability balls and pilates are great toning and strengthening exercises. Our bodies build muscle when we do these type of exercises. Indoor cycling, step class, and cross country skiing are cardio which helps our heart. You are doing everything right. Maybe you would want to try a water pill. It isn't a diet pill necessarily. You take it and it helps your body expell extra water it may be carrying around. I don't think you should cut back on any of your exercises and do any more. You are being active and eating healthily. Our bodies work perfect when we take care of them. Either your body doesn't need to lose that extra weight or it is just water weight and can be lost with a water pill. You may also want to try drinking white tea. It will help regulate your bowel movements. Even if you are regular, it may help you lose that extra weight by expelling more waste. Also, you can try a detox system. You can buy really good ones at a Health Food store for $30 or more. They are fiber pills, easy laxatives, and another pill that I can't remember. Anyway, it will cleanse your system and colon of any toxins that may be there. It may be that your body has some toxins that are stopping you from losing any more weight. Best of luck.

oh to be 140 again.

You are actually in the right percentile for your height. You may have found your 'Happy Weight"....the plateau is likely your body saying "this is where I want to be" ....listen to it. Stop paying so much attention to the number on the scale, and start paying attention to what your body is telling you.

believe me you are fine...you may not want to hear it, but most of what you have is muscle...I wish I was 140.

you can not do the same thing and expect to keep getting results. your muscles grow and your body gets used to it. Increase intensity / change exercises.

You got to get your heart rate up to burn. You can do that either through cardio or weights. Whatever you choose you gotta make it harder as you get stronger.

As for nutrition which is responsible for 90% of the effect. Increase meals, reduce sizes. 1 fist sized healthy food every 3 hours.

first of all you need to be lifting weights if your not, don't be afraid of getting big, it doesn't happen over night.

Second, why would you say you don't care that you weigh what you should, the question is, do you want to weigh 135, or do you just want to look 5lbs. thinner?

Weight is just a number, it's simply how much pull the earth's gravity has on us, it's no indication of beauty or appearence.
I've met 160lb. girls that had much better bodies than 120lb. girls of the same height.

Bodyfat % is a much better indicator, try lifting weights to build lean muscle mass and tone your body, your wieght won't actually go down, but you will look and feel much better, don't get tied up in an insignifigant number!

Looks like you're working out a lot. Don't feel too bad because you feel you're heavy. Lighter doesn't mean healthier or fitter. Muscle does weigh more than fat you know. Working out harder will just make your muscles grow heavier, so don't expect to get lighter. Don't touch those weights if you don't want to get heavy. More reps is the way and keep up the good diet. If you want to get thinner, regulating your carb intake really helps. I quit eting rice a few months back and people are noticing I lost weight, my cheeks are not so chubby anymore. In exchange for rice and white-flour based bread, I eat wheat bread :) I think that did the trick :) Good luck!

I know what it's like to not be satisfied with your weight. A year and a half ago I weightd 105lbs and I'm 5'7". Everyone thought I had an eating disorder or illness but really it was because I was a smoker. I quit smoking nd now I'm back up to 142 and never looked healthier. I think it would be ok to drop 5 lbs if you want and still look healthy but try not to loose more than that. Besides watching what you eat and exercising I'm not sure what else you can do... maybe your bone structure is causing you to not loose anymore... or maybe it's muscle mass from working out.
