How long will it take to lose 30 pounds?!

Question: i am 23 years old and I weigh 142 pounds and i am 4'10". i need to lose like 30 pounds to get healthier. I was wondering if I eat 1,000 calories and than burn off 1,000 calories than how long will it take me to lose about 30 pounds. Can you guys please say no negative feedback I was just wondering. I already lost 10 pounds in 2 days cuz me and my boyfriend broke up, but i know i am not going to lose that much all the time. I know that is unhealthy I just haven't felt the urge to eat alot. Anyways any helpful feedback would be awesome thanks.

Ok pay close attention. First you should determine how many calories you should really be eating, then maybe drop a few hundred from that. But make sure you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a light snack here and there such as an apple with a little peanut butter or some other fruit. Something healthy. This will help your metabolism. Don't diet or skip meals!!! Next increase your activity to burn about 500 to 1000 calories a day. This will allow you to lose a few pounds a week at first if you are fairly overweight, however you should include resistance type exercise ( weight training, resistance bands or using body weight ) along with aerobics. Do 2 or three of each per week but don't overdue it. Weight training should be light weight, high reps (20-25) and done in circuit training to hit the biggest muscles, i.e., chest, back and legs. This will not make you muscular. It will help preserve muscle and lose fat. Educate yourself. Or get a trainer. Online consulting is available as well if you want to save some money.

if you lose more than 1.5 lbs per week.. precious muscle is going with the fat...

make the goal 1lb per week..... so, 30 weeks

umm 30 pounds might take about 3-6 months at about losing 5-10 pounds a month
good luck with that:)

Use the link below to figure out how many calories you require per day to maintain your body weight. For every 3500 calories you cut from that, you will lose 1 pound. But be careful -- you don't want to lose it all at once so fast! Give your skin time to bounce back.

To have a healthy BMI, you only need to weigh 119 pounds, so that would be a loss of 23 pounds only.

It is not healthy to eat only 1000 calories per day, and if you have a job, it's probably not possible to burn that many per day. Shoot for a 500 calories less than you need (as per the calculator) per day, and with exercise, you should lose more than one pound per week. That would give you a healthy weight in 4 to 5 months.

Don't go over the deep end because it didn't work out with a guy. They shouldn't care what you look like, anyways! Be good to yourself, because you deserve it -- lose the weight in a healthy manner, and lose it in order to be healthy -- for yourself.
