Is it possible to lose weight...........?!

Question: eating 4 meals a day each having 300 calories or is that too much calories for each meal? Should I eat 5-6 meals and spread my calories intake?

I'm 5'4 195 lbs...... I was 145 before I had my son but that was 4 years ago. I only gained 30 lbs during my pregnacy and lost 10 after I had my son but gained weight through out the years. I'm desparatly wanting to get back to my old self. Most of the weight is in my butt. I've started working out 30-45 minutes a day, ranging from tae-bo to yoga....I'm keeping myself a lot busier also. Please help.... good, positive advice is appreciated!

yes, yes, YES!

Oh, thank you for getting it right! You are doing absolutely fantastic, keep it up.

I'd guess that you already know, but in case you don't: Avoid fats as much as possible as well as simple carbs (sugars). Proteins will almost never be converted to fat, and complex carbs (breads and veggies) can be converted to fat if you are inactive and have a slow metabolism.

But you already knew that, right? :)

I would eat 4 to 6 meals each having around 300 calories. If you are doing a lot of cardio or weights than you may need to increase you calorie count a little. I would add in stretch bands or some type of resistance training to your cardio to build more lean mass.

quite possible to lose weight
weight does not entirely depend upon in-take , it depends upon out go.
How effectiviely u burn extra fat
it depends upon ur life style.
u seem to be overweight
again 30/40 minutes is not the criteria , it depends how rigorously u do the work out

Actually, according to what I've been reading lately, you are doing the right thing. It is healthier to spread you calories out over the day than to stuff yourself at 2 or 3 meals.

My husband was recently put on diabetes medication and I'm having to learn to cook differently now and all the information I've read says to eat light and eat often for both weight loss and diabetes control.

You can lose weight on such a regimen, but be warned: If you're eating that little and you're working out that much, your body might go into starvation mode. When that happens, your body greedily hangs on to every last bit of body fat that you have and starts metabolizing the tissue that requires the most energy to maintain (muscle). Not good. I recommend eating six small meals a day in the 250-calorie-per-meal range, for a total of 1,500 calories. Anything less than that is very risky.

Try watching your carbohydrate intake as well. I have been trying to lose weight for months. Finally my wife found me a low carb diet that really seems to be working. You have to limit yourself to 20 carbs a day for the first two weeks. No eating bread, noodles, rice etc.

try to reduce the a mount of eat in each and increase the times of eat it make the body lost some calories and drink water a lot it's very good
