Should I take Protein Shakes?!

Question: I am 17, I am starting to workout more seriously than before as I just joined a gym.
I eat eggs maybe 3 times a week, some type of chicken at least once a day, and a multi-vitamin... not sure what else has protein

But do you think I should take a protein shake each time after I workout as well? And should I also do it after doing cardio?

ok key things.
1 - Protein shakes are not meal replacements so don't substitute your meals for them.
2- if you want muscle development minimum 2 grams per kilo of body weight daily.
3 - this depends on how good of a quality your protein shakes are. there is a thing called window of opportunity. basically 30 mins before you work out and straight after you work out you will get most benefit from your shake. more bang for your buck.
4 - protein will have no effect on your cardio unless you take a protein shake in the evening then go for a run in the morning - you will be burning mostly fat and will see massive changes but ensure you consume carbs after to minimise catabolism.

Yes, protein shake controls hunger. By then, you wouldn't crave for more food after every work out. Haven't you noticed, that after sweating out a lot, you got hungry. Ask others who have tried going to the gym. When they quitted, they grew big.

YES you shoudl!....try muscle milk..it gives u alot of protein and vitamins u need...and it doesnt really have side affects like the others...protein shakes are good on helping u out with workouts if u want to see an improvement in your body..but just pick the right one like the muscle milk..

Look it over. There are a lot of tips regarding workouts and diet. I think I read you should consume 1 to 2 1/2 times your body in grams of protein in a day. And he recommends a protein shake after each heavy lifting session.

I came across this great product for weight loss (all nautral) and it was excellent for me (it's a detox colon cleanse). Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at
