Has anyone tried eating just one meal a day to lose weight?!


Question: if you haven't tried this, shutup, go away .. i don't want to hear from you lol ... if you HAVE then please feel free to post your experience ...im curious as to know what happenned.

I just happened upon this question and thought you needed someone to answer it who had done what you asked and didnt quit at the first craving.

It's like any addiction. You'll hit withdrawls. But your body adjusts afterwards and you're fine. People take the withdrawls symptoms to be the total effect. That's just silly.

In my office there are two of us who eat just one meal a day. The one guy is 45 and has always eaten this way. Great health, avid fisherman and hiker. Great shape.

I'm 36 and I ate like this basically until I got married and she was a "health" nut. She made me eat breakfast and lunch and then supper and all. I blew up like a balloon, was tired all the time and didnt have any energy. I was also greatly out of shape even though I worked out on occasion. But I was really too tired to workout. I had gained 30 lbs. She would even comment that I didnt look like the chisled man she married.

Anyway, I finally just put my foot down and said enough. So now I'm back to eating one meal a day. I'm not hungry the rest of the time because my body has adjusted. I eat between 6-time I go to bed. And I eat whatever I want.

The weight? It's gone. Dropped off like an old friend who realized you're broke. I'm energized again. The doc said I'm healthy as anyone else my age or moreso. I've got a great heart even though bad hearts run in my family. I'm in great shape again and have the energy to do flips and gymnastics with the kids like I did last night.

Oh, and she's no longer ridin me about my eating habits. She's seen it work now so there's no argument. I'm the healthiest one in my house. She likes my trim body again.

Oh, and in my office, we are the ones in best shape. I've lost all my weight. Since I've been here for 9 years, two others have both been on Weight Watchers and other "healthy" diets trying to lose like 20lbs. They tell me I dont eat right and blah, blah, blah... They are out of shape, tired all the time, eating everything the "industry" says is healthy and they've lost maybe a combined 20lbs and gained it back each time.

I'm too busy living to worry about counting calories and eating specific things. Our ancestors managed to survive and did so without the label on the side of a box.

i tried but gave up i was waaay tooo hungry and my mom stopped talking to me. lol

trust me not worth it.

Doesn't work. Your metabolism will slow down.

Eat 3 healthy meals a day + 2 snacks.

Your metabolism doesn't start until you eat something.

When starving your body, it goes into starvation mode & stores fat, not uses it. It thinks that it needs to store fat for later use.

Yes I have tried this. When you starve yourself then your body will eat away at your muscles first and make you very weak.

The chances are that you will get so hungry and then binge and put on more weight, that 's what happened to me and may others that try this.

Now since January the 11th I have been eating healthy and working out 3 times a week and I have lost 5kg (11lbs), 3 inches from my waist and 3 inches from my hips.

Fast weight loss is not permanent weight loss. Lose weight slowly and healthy and it should be permanent weight loss.

metabolism needs something to digest, eat healthy and you will lose`weight

thousands of people have
n it just doesent work if you starve your body it will slow down and it will store fat but the other imortant thing you cant have great musle tone nice hair n skin n be beautyful even up to 99 years old if your body doesent get the food to build you to heal you
look you want to lose weight eat 6 small meals 3 meals n 3 snacks n not snickers but maybe once in a while varity ever 4 hours n your body will just keep you healthy n it will keep burning fat n surgar n keep in ming fruit ,fiber like cereal willl make you feel full n cant get you fat but god knows eat enough to grow n heal heal from chemical the sun that kind of stuff do eat n your body will eat its own musle n such
