I work from 5am to 5pm 5 days a week and sometimes on weekends, occasionally being assigned a 24hr shift here and there.

I try to geta 5 mile run in 3 times a week to keep the cardio up, and force good sleep habits to establish hours of wake and rest. It makes it easier to stay awake and have energy at certain points in the day, and settle for bed at the right moments.

So, it boils down to 3 things
1 Sleep
2 Diet
3 Exercise

(Or you can do what I did for 3 years of Graveyard shift, guzzle a 2 liter of Dr. Pepper a night).

getting enough sleep is so important, and you will feel more energised after a piece of fruit than one of those sugary rubbish drinks.

you should find a way to cut back your hours. you will start cutting years off your life otherwise.

Firstly look at your diet and ensure that you are getting a good mix of fruit and veg. Also try to eat small meals regular and often during you shilf this will reduce energy highs and lows.

You really need to look at how you recover from these long days. You could try meditation or yoga as these are good for relaxation and done well can enhance energy.

do some like cardio exercise, it will boost endorphins.

Stay away from heavy and fatty foods. Stick with high protein and fiber.

Play some upbeat, high spirited music on your way home.

Don't veg out in front of the television as soon as you get home. Do something that uses your mind or body in an active way. Play a game of cards, do a crossword, do a workout tape, etc.

Keep your B12 levels up. Eat leafy, green veggies or take a multi-vitamin daily.

drink honey mixed with milk for activeness throughout the day

I suggest you to try wine extract

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little "help" so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at
