Laugh, no, big (for 1/4 of Americans) is just unhealthy. Healthy is the new thin.... big, small, whatever.
I think that it is in the sense that there are more obese people in the United States, but I think that the way they are trying to attack obesity is wrong. I think that there is a reason why people are obese and some is genetics and in others it is psychological traumas or reasons. I don't think that taxing or trying to elliminate fast food is the way to do it. In a society where buying food at Winn Dixie or Publix is two hundred dollars for two weeks worth for one person (fruits and veggies and meats included) versus one hundred in fast food and going out dining. I think that the govt can not really say..."Well eat healthy" when many in this govt don't have those one hundred for one person let alone two hundred. So dieting healthily wont work for many, or for most people.
Notice how the really thin people who look Hollywood like are the moderately rich people versus the obese are most of the lower class and moderately poor people. How roles have reversed in society a hundred years ago it was the opposite. So until there is a solution to this, it will continue until the government decides to get rid of the right of choosing what to eat and meddles in out rights.
Now I do hope that Hollywood and most of the US realizes that being that thin is also unhealthy and people gain weight and become normal.
Ew, no! I hate that whole "bbw" thing; I don't know how anyone could be proud of being fat. Thin is still in!
