Choose your diet carefully
Although there is no evidence that diet is a direct cause of Crohn's disease, the foods you eat might make a difference in the severity of your symptoms2. For instance, you may find that certain foods and beverages are less tolerable during flare-ups. While everyone is different, some of the foods that commonly cause problems include:

Dairy products
Spicy foods
Some foods high in fiber
Some foods high in fat
Eliminating and reintroducing certain components of your diet may be a useful technique in learning about your food sensitivities.

Another dietary concern for people with Crohn's disease is poor nutrition because the digestive malabsorption and loss of appetite often associated with the disease may deprive your body of essential nutrients1,2. Consider adding a multivitamin to your daily regimen. However, it's important to consult your doctor or dietitian before taking any supplements or making significant changes to your diet.

Based on this I would be carefull with the ream of mushroom, one good way to take out the cream is to make a Roux (this is a thickener) using equal parts of melted butter or olive oil, with flour, probably 4 tablespoons of each, make the mushroom soup or use Campells or an equivelent brand just a broth based soup, then thiken it by stirring in the Roux at a boil till you acheive the consistency you want, continue cooking for about 20 mins to get rid of the flour taste, also add about a 1/4 cup of brandy to the soup this gives it a rich flavor like cream (add this in the begining let it cook off the alcohol.)
For the Asparagus, try wrapping it with Prosscuitto Parma Ham, drizzle a little olive oil and garnish with parmeseian cheese(this is low in fat and should not bother him) bake it in the oven , this dish is a little salty but tastes so good.

Good luck
