How can I stop overeating and pigging out?!


Question: Its terrible. Ive gained so much weight. I sit around all day and just have a urge to eat, I start craving food until I eat it. And then regret it after I eat it, because the urge goes away. But soon comes back! Im 16 and weight 261. Ive started walking 30 minutes a day. I try to cut back too. But lately I cant get out because theres 6 inches of snow. And its VERY COLD. I walked today 10 minutes. Next month im getting a treadmill to lose this weight. I just cant stop it! I dont drink soda, just water!

its good that your trying to loose weight by excercise and food. Eat three meals a day, and stick to one portion of each thing...drink lots and lots and lots of water it makes you less hungry. I drink at least 5 water bottles a day

also when your hungry brush your teeth or put a mint in your mouth it wil help

Look at what you are eating. Start by reading labels. If it has high fructose corn syrup in it then you need to stop eating it. This syrup is the worse stuff you could put in your body. Also eat whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. I used to eat alot of junk and felt the same way as you. I found a website that helped me and I lost 86lbs. You need to find out why you are overeating.
Then change what ever is bothering you, start each day with a good healthy breakfast. Eat 6 small meals daily. Lets say you your breakfast at 7 a.m. then a snack at 9:30 lunch at 12 and snack at 2:30 or 3:00 then dinner at 6:30 then a snack at 8:30 or 9:00, and drink at least 64 ounces of water daily, eating this way will keep you from feeliing very hungry and you won't over eat,
Learn what a serving size is for the foods you eat, buy a food scale and weigh you foods. Usually a portion of meat to eat is 4 ounces, so weigh it and only eat the 4 ounces with vegetables (steamed).
don't eat sweets, sugary cereal, sodas, fried foods etc

I'm like that to! I feel like i need to eat, I'm craving something to eat ,but I'm not always hungry...but for some reason in the winter, I'm constantly hungry..whats helped my take some of the urge away besides keeping my mind busy is to chew gum! yeah gum, weird ,but it works..that and drinking more fluids, that's what makes me feel more stuffed...like if you eat a small meal...drink more than you eat. So lets say you had some pasta, have a glass or two of water, but gum keeps the feeling that your actually eating, when your not, you can loose like 7 or more calories just chewing gum for about half an hour, And Water is a great filler! pop just makes you want more.. So yeah i hope i helped you:)
