Why do i get so cold after workouts?!

Question: Okay. I've been working out, mix of weights and cardio, not overdoing it. I don't know why a couple of hours after working out I get very chilly. Like I have to get under all the blankets chilly.

I always cooldown after a workout, and then wear some warm clothes and eat so I don't get light headed, but these chills are very disturbing. What can I do?

Two things, in my view:

your body is overworked and fatigued from the workout. I get them too, along with massive fatigue and a deep desire to sleep (light out!). Try drinking some green tea before, during and post workout to generate some extra energy. Take a warm shower and end it with a cold splash.

your endurance is lacking... so, try working gentler, switch workout times around so you can go to sleep about two hours after you're done...

if it persists, see a doctor just to make sure all's well.

This is actually somewhat common. My brother has it also when he's not worked out in a while and then he pushes too hard too fast

take it easier, try the green tea for stamina and try hot shower with a cold splash of 30 seconds (you may have to work up to that) and see how it goes... good luck!

Aj, also, try some vitam b-50 complex, also for stammina and endurance.

Immediately after, it's from the sweat evaporating off. It creates the feeling of being cold.

I would ask a doc if it's hours after. I am clueless. Something w/your blood vessels constricting but I don't understand why that would happen so long after exercising...Good question. I'll look for a while & see what I find.

It means you are dehydrated...interesting. Try more water. I hope this helps!

If you sweat a lot, this maybe the reason, like when you get all cold and clammy?. Well, my best suggestion is to take a hot shower after your done. Also, you might not be getting enough rest, so when you are tired, you tend to get chilly a lot quicker, at least this happens to me sometimes

Nothing to worry. I work out and then get into a hot shower which does wonders!

umm im taking a wild shot at this but maybe it's cause youre sweaty but are cold because the sweat has cooled you down if you get what im saying? sorry if you dont but anyway if it really worries you go to the doctors they'll be the best help

how cold are you?

usually the body will need time to get back to equilibrium so that it might be your body is on some kind of delayed reaction. take more vitamins, or you're too thin that normal temperature is cold to you, or its winter.

ok, i'm not helping... ask your doctor...

I used to get cold a lot, not really from working out though. I found out that it was a circulation problem.

i would guess that you are maybe a bit dehydrated and tired. i get cold when i am tired out.
