I eat when I am not hungry. How do I stop?!
Question: Im 14 5'0 and weigh 113 pounds. I eat when I am not hungry. How can I stop this? I am not an emotional eater or anything I just do it cuz food tastes good and I get bored. Do I have to see a psychiatrist or something?

Just remind yourself you'll get overweight and can't lose it.
It happens though, sometimes.
I used to do that.
I do it too. The way I combat this is to drink lots of water or concentrate on something else. If I'm just sitting around my apartment, instead of popping a DVD in, I'll go tanning, or go to the gym just to keep my mind off of it. Always make sure you have a glass of water by you and ask yourself, am I really hungry, or am I just bored?
no - find sumthing 2 take your mind off food - a game or a show or something and wen you do eat snack on fruit or something healthy

I don't knwo what I do really. I just kinda think iof somethign else. I eat cause I get bored too.
SOmetimes, I try to sleep or keep my mind off of it. Or if I REALLY need something to eat, I will get somethign that lasts me a while, NOT like a cookie or somethings small.
I relayl don't klnwo how I stop. I jsut kinda ignore it.

First of all, your weight sounds fine for your height.
With regard to the hunger, a good trick I have is to drink a glass of water when I feel like eating. Then I wait 15 or 20 minutes and if I still want to eat, I go for it because that means I'm hungry! Sometimes people feel like eating when they are really just thirsty.
But I'm the same way as you -- I eat when I'm bored. Just try and choose better foods when you do it -- apples and carrots over chocolate bars and instant noodles. I don't think you need help. Just try and distract yourself or substitute as mentioned above.
No! You don't need to see a psychiatrist! I used to do that too! When you're hungry try to distract yourself...if you have to have something, drink a glass a water to fill you up so you won't want to eat or, depending on what you're craving, eat something that has a similar taste, but is healthier. For example, if you crave something sweet like icecream, eat something like blueberries, strawberries, peaches, etc....
Baby you have issues, you may want to see a doctor. I am a personal trainer, so this is a little beyond my scope of practice. Eating when you are really not hungary will catch up to you eventually. When in doubt a psychiatrist may be a good idea.
i see one but thats cuz i eat over 13,000 calories a day...ur not overweight btw and justsnackhealthy and u will be fine! try keeping urself busy when u are not actually hungry but eat when u are
