About the south beach diet?!


Question: In phase 1, the use of asparagus is very high, also Egg plant, and Cilantro, all of these foods I can't stand. What Can I substitute in the meal plans for these items?

You don't have to follow the menu exactly. Substitute meals you like for ones that you don't.

Maybe you should try a diet that has food that you can eat or some other type of diet program. Its hard to try to find a substitute food. Look at the websites below to give you some options

Trust me, if you can't stand the foods in Phase 1 of the diet, you don't need to do the diet...you won't stick to it and will probably gain back 2 times the weight....I'm not being mean, i'm being honest...it's what happened to me...you just need to eat right, fruits, veggies..and exercize and drink plenty of water, no soda's....good luck!

I think that it's great that you are going on a diet and trying to lose weight; however, low-carb diets are not the way to go. Diets add stress to the individual who is dieting and can create unrealistic expectations for the dieter as well.

Carbohydrates transport water to all of your bodily tissue (including skin). Cutting carbs makes the body temporarily "suck-in" especially in the mid-section and butt/thigh region. Unfortunately, it is not a permanent fix.
