Run. Do crunches and sit ups. Make sure you eat healthy too, get all the vitamins you need. You are definately not overweight. And remember, muscle weighs more than fat does, so don't be worried if the scale says you are gaining weight even after all the workouts. Judge it by how you look and how your clothes fit, not by a number on a scale. Good luck!

im 13 too and iam 4'8 but i have real strong legs and abs but i way 102 pounds but it's all muscle. you should run alot to get stronger legs and do crunchies to getstronger abs!

13 year old boys don't need to worry about that stuff. Basketball and baseball are enough. DON'T weight lift. I guess if you want to do crunches for your abs, that would be fine.

Yoga's cool though. =)

Get u a set of weights and work out every other day,do 100 situps, and 100 sidestretches, do weights on ankles and arms.
go for hikes in the woods, ride your bike, go skating, get on a skateboard, jump benches outdoors.

ummm don't guys love to go to the gym??? i'm a 13 year old girl and to work out i go to the gym and i'm mostly muscle too but i don't play any sport but can't run a mile cuz i have asthma but that is totally not the point GO TO THE GYM. do the crunch machine thingys and the leg lifts and lift some flippin weights YOU AREN"T HELPLESS!!!! you can do it i believe in you!!!

At your age, your growth plates are still forming, so you should avoid heavy lifting. You should, however, try circuit training.
Most gyms have some form of circuit set up, just ask one of the employees and they would probably be more than happy to help you.
Also, run, bike, swim, anything for cardio is necessity.

And on the BMI, never, ever, ever use it. It is a very inaccurate measure and gives many people false ideas. Get your annual check up, ask for a body fat percentage, and go from there.
