Help I need to lose 20-30 pounds?!

I study nutrition and I can give you some advice. Obviuosly you know it's not healthy to be overweight, it is really good that you have a desire to lose weight. There are many methods to do it, but most are not healthy and not long lasting. All of these "lose 20lbs in 2 weeks" are not good for your body and are usually not permanent.

An obsession with losing weight can easily turn into an eating disorder. Some people start to vomit, or obsess about food or stop eating food altogether and hurt themselves greatly. You need to be careful not to develop an eating disorder. If you start obsessing about food, I recommend that you talk to your doctor about it.

The best way to lose weight is to cut out 500 calories a day. This will be 3500 calories a week, or 1 to 2 lbs a week. That doesn't seem like much, but its best for your body. If you add moderate excercies, you could lose a little more weight than that. This means eat a little less at each meal. Skip dessert every now and then... don't supersize, don't eat until your stuffed (stop before that)

A lot of times people will starve themselves or skip meals, generally speaking you will just eat more at the next meal.

Another great way to lose weight is to stop drinking soda (or drink diet soda) This is a great secret! Drink water instead of soda (avoid replacing with juice, because most juiced have a lot of sugar in them)

Basically, what you need to do is learn about calories, what they are and where they are. Figure out how many calories you eat a day, and then start to cut back a little and add excercies. Thats the healthiest way.

You should go to the YMCA. They have everything there for you to do. You'll have fun there.

Do more exercise and cut out sweets and fizzy drinks!

It's been on national news recently... Diet Drinks like coke and pepsi INCREASE a person's weight... believe it or not... you will hear that news soon if you haven't heard already. So that is number one... get all that artificial junk out of your diet and eat REAL food.

Lose up to 10 Pounds in Two Weeks:

Make a big pot of vegetable soup. Eat that and only that for three days, drink only water. Your stomach will 'shrink' a bit after the three days. On day four, in addition to the vegetable soup, you can add two packages per day of those "100 calorie" snacks.

Day five, eat a mini-bagel (toasted) with LITE creme cheese for breakfast. Apples and celery dipped in peanut butter for lunch and a small dinner (whatever you want).

You're not going to lose a lot of pounds in 2 weeks, let a lone a month. At the most, you should healthily lose 3-5 pounds every two weeks. And that's on the extreme edge.

You just need to get more exercise and eat less junk food. Do it for a few months and you'll see some great results.

Don't go with any gimmic diets...

Eat healthy - Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full... GIve yourself 20 min after you eat to see if you're still hungry. Drink water before, with and after your meals.

A good tool is to.. think about what you are going to eat first...Plan it out and try to stick to it.. And DONT eat late at night.. At night right after dinner, have a little snack then, tell yourself "I am not going to eat after this". Brush your teeth. If you're hungry - have some water or tea/decaf coffee (even a diet rootbeer or diet cream soda if you're really craving a sweetie).

The first night is the worst!! But the next morning when you wake up you will feel lean! That feeling will help motivate you the next day... you will want to maintain that lean feeling.

It's mind over matter.. your mind has to control your eating habits.. .

Below are the few Quick Steps towards a Healthier Diet.
1) Before starting any type of diet weight yourself and also note ur whole body measurement in a dairy. Then after every week weigh yourself and note it in ur diary and see how much weight u r losing.
2) Start taking your food with out any oil. Try to use boiled/steamed vegetables, meat, and lot of salad. U can eat fruits too and boiled/steamed chicken or red meat too but no pork. Please note and put it in ur mind that nothing fried or oily.
