Compulsive eating... I cant stop! help...?!


Question: Here is the deal. I used to be fat.
I was never a compulsive eater, I just ate REALLY bad and drank nothing but soda.

Well, I joined weight watchers and lost a TON of weight. I made goal at 120 and actually got a little below that to 117.
Now that I am not "fat" anymore, I have a hard time sticking to eating right. I have kept the weight off for about 6 months so far and fell of the wagon when I got pregnant and then I miscarried.

After the miscarriage, I got on the depo shot. I now feel like I want to eat ALL OF THE TIME. I feel like a compulsive eater and I am gaining weight from it. I work for an apartment complex and really, I cannot control myself around these cookies. Every sec of the day I am craving JUNK! I just cant get with the program. I think now that im not real fat anymore, I dont care as much but I do as I watch the scale slowly move up. but I cant stop eating junk and over eating.

HELP PLEASE??? advice? tips?

Every time you have a craving, chew a piece of sugar-free gum. :)

i had the same problem, what i did was drink one cup of water b/4 i started to eat or drink a cup of juice everytime i got hungre

Eat 5 small meals a day of food that is filling.

for example a small bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.

fruit for your second meal

etc

that way you aren't hungry and will feel full throughout the day.

make it a habit for that every cookie you eat, you have to do twenty sit ups or smething

GET OFF DEPO! I gained 30 lbs on it. My friend has gained 70 lbs on it. I take Yaz now and it's wonderful. Haven't gained a pound and you can talk to your gyno and take Yaz continually (no sugar pill) so you don't have to have your period (that is what I do). Try Special K Protein water. It really works. And DON'T buy junk food. If it's sitting around your house; you will eat it. Try apples or oranges.

GET YOUR JAW WIRED SHUT. AND GET TO THE GYM.STOP SITTING ON YOUR *** AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. YOUR WELCOME

Just remind yourself that food is for nourishment, and not for binging. Eat to feed your body, never your cravings, and if you have to, get a different indulgence, like masturbation or beekeeping

Do you like coffee? Coffee would help because it suppresses the appetite.

promise your self one day without junk, it won't seem like to much, and you should be able to go through with it..it may take you a couple of days to reach your "goal", but after that you will feel more inspired (i think is the word im looking for) and it will only become easier

Im thinking its the hormones. When did you get the shot? Well first of all Congratulations on your huge loss. That means you will be able to solve this when you arent hormonally challenged. Its so hard when you work near food so try to stick to a exercise plan and you know how many points a day you should have. Progresso has a great no point soup which should fill you up. Drink water and maybe some popcorn?

its ok, chill chill chill. first off. the depo does that to you. my bestfriend was on it and ate like a horse. second, i wish i could do the whole weight watchers thing and do what you did. you need to find something that kills those cravings, because its a fact, after 2 weeks of not eating junk you dont want it anymore. I want veggetarian to help myself not eat junk. read into what you are eating, trust me, you wont want to eat it anymore. and there is LOTS of food out there that tastes like junk food. but is not that bad for you. like when i crave icecream, i eat yogurt, chocolate bars, sugar free mini chocolates..just dont cave into it. you can do it!

I don't know, I have the same problem too, I am not too fat but little bit bulky (fat)

My suggestion would be to bring something that you can do to take your mind off of being bored. When ever you get the feeling to eat, trick your mind into wanting to do something else. I used to have the same prob, now I read or walk around my lot or get on Yahoo Answers and waste about two hours. lol. Just be creative and dont give up on yourself, just remember how hard it was to get it off. Do you really want yo go throught that again? Good luck!

Try drinking a big glass of Metamucil fiber supplement.It will not only make you feel full......you will want to poo more,thus lose weight.Sometimes I think of something gross if I want to stop eating,like dog poo or vomit.....that will gross you out!Try brushing your teeth more often......for some reason this works.And lastly.....the more drastic measure,get a presription for diet pill....Meridia,it is $$$$ but it works.Have a nice day!
