Yes..I lost 30 lbs. and it improved tremendously!

I would say it probably does. It depends on the person, but in general, looking your best does make you feel good about yourself.

110% more!

Yes, but it's not permanent. It can change if that number goes up again. Self-esteem is better improved by making serious changes to who you are.

It sure did! I felt more confident and actually looked forward to getting dressed up!

Self esteem is not just based on the changes that we brought on your body. Even if have a good body or lost a lot of weight but still your mind would that is not enough, your self-esteem will remain low. What is important is that you are satisfied with what you have and you can grow and love with it, thus your self-esteem will grow with you and your insecurities will fade away.

Yes, I've lost about fifteen pounds in five weeks. I did it by riding my bicycle exerciser, staying off of sodas, sweet teas and watching what I ate.

I am a 23 year old male and I dropped about 60 pounds about 2 years ago from about 240 to about 180. I would say I did have an increase in self-esteem. I felt like I really accomplished something and in the process I did a good thing for my body.

I lost my weight the healthy way by cutting out the 'garbage' food (I know how tasty it is... but all things in moderation) and exercise. When it was all said and done I felt better physically.

My advice is if you are not happy with your weight then do something about it! But please make sure that you are doing it the right way. Fad diets and starving yourself isn't a good way of approaching it. Talk with a nutritionist/dietitian or check out some websites in the related field.

Hope this helps you, and good luck.

I was just a normal/slightly underweight girl who thought her life would somehow be so much better if I lost a bit of weight and got down to a particular weight, like I obsessed about it for ages, and then I got down to that weight and it really made no difference at all, I still felt the same, which wasnt bad, but why we think losing a bit of weight is going to change our lives is silly, but I can understand if you lost a tonne of weight! But it cant all be about weight,,,

yes.

not just because I was looking better and had more choices in clothing, although that helps!

when you decide its time to get healthy, to be active, you have to develop self discipline and break old habits. When you discover you are capable of changing your life you move toward having a stronger mind and a stronger body. Both are something to be proud of :)
