The Male Model body ?!

Question: Most male models you see seem to be pretty limited in terms of muscle building but instead have a lot of lean muscle and a seriously low body fat count (apart from fitness models of course).....

is there a specific diet these guys have ? or do they follow the females and simply don't eat ??

Well according to Derek Zoolander, reputable source for male model lifestyles all male models do is work out and party. I imagine that since the way their body looks affects their salary they pay more attention to what they eat and are more motivated to work out.
They probably got into modeling because they had the body that the industry wanted already. You may think that all models work to get the exact shape they want but human bodies don't work that way. You can't take a short guy with thick muscles and make him lose his bulk overnight. It would take a diet close to starvation and a whole lot of muscle damaging exercise to break his body muscle down.
I can recall a show on TV and a girl in modeling who started when she was14 and was tall and skinny and they liked her shape but when she hit 16 and started getting hips she couldn't keep the hips off with a normal diet and exercise. While she did lose weight she still couldn't get the shape that they wanted.
So what I am getting at is that they are probably genetically predisposed to have muscle form in that way.

Hmm, I don't know about their diet, but unlike many female models, they DONT starve themselves. Female models don't eat much because women gain weight easliy. However this is not a problem for men. Men have faster Metabolisms, and can intake more calories.

Are you trying to be a male model? And, yes I think you need to have some muscle.

Swimming seems to create the leanest , most toned body without being overly muscally in any one area= ideal

No, There very young!!!
