Drinking water is good for you for many reasons. First of all, if you're not drinking any water, chances are you're replacing it with unhealthy beverages, and drinking water is an easy way to cut down on calories. For example, if you drink one soda a day, and replace it with water, that's 100 calories that you cut out of your diet. (That may not seem like much, but it adds up quickly!) The other thing that water does is it will help you feel full with smaller portions. Water itself does not cause you to lose the fat, you lose the fat by eating less, which is a result of drinking more water. You can also eat foods like grapes and lettuce which are so full of water that they have hardly any calories, yet they can still help you feel full.

Also, you don't need to worry about water intoxication - drinking one gallon over 24 hours (or 18, if you sleep for six) is perfectly healthy. Just don't try to drink an entire gallon at once - keep a water bottle with you, and if you sip from it throughout the whole day, and drink a full glass with every meal, you will easily drink a whole gallon.

its "water intoxication" we leared about it in health class and watched a movie on a girl who died from it

It especially helps if you're replacing sodas and juices with water, as you're then also eliminating those sources of sugar and calories.

DONT DO IT. u can literally die from it. if the concentration of water goes up in ur blood, ur water will diffuse into ur cells and too much will cause them to burst. drinking a gallon a day will make it happen on huge scales and u will die. plus it wont make u lose fat. all itll do is make u gain weight from the water and feel bloated as hell. the only to healthily get rid of fat is exercise. people who try to cheat out of that with special diets or pills often do more harm than good to themselves
