I'm venting and it feels so good (not really) = (?!


Question: So here's the thing- when I'm 5'6'' and 15. I used to weigh 108 pounds (maybe a little underweight, I admit) because I had a strict vegetarian diet. My parents made me quit because I had kind of lost a bit of weight. Bam! I'm fat again. I gained all of the weight back that had took me 6 flipping months to lose. Now I have a huge *** and lots of fat surrounding my hip area.

So my fat *** has ripped holes in the back pockets or crotch seams of 3 pairs of jeans. Those jeans used to be loose on me- now I can barely squeeze into them.

I've been deperately trying to lose the weight by following a 1200 calories diet, running ery day, and strength training.

nothing.

So I broke another pair of jeans today. My dad's friend noticed that I had put on weight, so he went up and felt my arm as if I had been ana or something. He humiliated me in front of a large group of people by calling me ana and asked if I was skipping meals still. I AM NOT ANA! What a stab! What do you think???

what did you do differently when you were a vegetarian? just eating meat every day would not add that much weight unless its the whole meal that is different. if you want to continue eating meat and lose weight start eating like you did when you were a vegetarian plus the meat! don't give into meat eaters gluttony of fried foods, butter, gravy...do it the vegetarian way and eat meat with veggies, potatoes, whole grain breads, pastas. the healthiest way to cook meat is to broil it and the leaniest meats are fish, turkey and chicken.

you are working out and eating few calories, so don't stress about your routine.

plus, don't stress about stupid people's comments...all that matters is how you feel about yourself. if you want to lose weight, do it for you, not for others. some people don't know when to put a sock in it!

Don't worry so much about your weight. Worry about the way you perceive yourself before it becomes worse. I am sure you are beautiful just the way you are :)

do more cardio and cut down on food

go back to being a vegetarian and stop letting your parents dictate how you live your life. What are they gonna do, shove meat down your throat? Restrict your diet to fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and foods with protein like beans, rice, soy, tofu, nuts, legumes, etc. Just because you're under 18 doesn't mean you have no control over your life. don't be afraid to be punished, thats no reason to give up what you believe in.

I'm 5'6", and even if you had TINY bones 108 is more than a "little" underweight.

If you are breaking jeans that fit you at that weight, it's a good thing. Though making jokes about any disorder isn't funny, it does sound like you are way too preoccupied with your weight.

It isn't about weight, it's about health. If you have a small frame, you should average anywhere between a size 5 - 8 and be in good shape. If you are ripping out your size 1's, go to the store, not to another diet.

So, more info - how much do you weigh? Do you get any exercise or do you expect your food consumption (or lack thereof) to keep you skinny instead of being toned? Do you want to feel good or look model thin?

I don't know you, but I know how my daughter was at 15. I'll tell you what I told her. We weren't given incisors to rip into a carrot. They are for MEAT. Any diet that says "just eat this, not these" is NOT GOOD FOR YOU!!! Use your common sense. Eat good stuff, stay away from junk and get off your butt. You'll feel better and you'll look good. I promise.

And she did, then she did! I hope you do, too.

You know what I learned the hard way that it's not better to gain weight for other people just so they shut up. I had my best friend always picking on me for being 100lbs well that was 2 years ago. Now I am 122 and shes like 110, go figure. I had my Mom always telling me I was too skinny well I could wear anything I wanted without feeling uncomfortable. Now I feel embarased in any top that is snug around the waist because I have excess fat there from when I gained weight. It's not a good feeling. I am slowly losing the weight I gained and when I get back to where I was I am going to tell people that I am perfectly happy how I am, and they will have to accept it.
