My daughter thinks she will gain a lot of weight after surgery...?!
Question: My daughter is 14 and has read that some people have gained weight after gallbladder surgery. She had her gallbladder removed a couple of days ago. Now she is convinced that she will gain alot of weight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help her. I told her if she keeps eating healthy and evercising she wont gain weight.

I have know MANY women who have had their gallbladders removed and NONE of them gained an OUNCE of weight.... they watched their diets, got plenty of exercise and remained as thin as they always have been. She's ONLY 14... sorry she had to be so young to have her gallbladder out already... but, at 14, you still have that nice CHILD LIKE metabolism that is very fast and as long as she doesn't become a SWEET AND BREAT HOUND, she should maintain her present weight...
