Question: is my diet?

I eat pop tarts and/or bananas in the morning

For lunch I usually eat at work. Sometimes I eat a BLT, or a chicken sandwhich or a giant dinner salad.

And then for dinner I eat bananas/pop tarts again

Throughout the day I drink water and powerade.

try having an real meal for dinner...maybe drop the poptarts completely if your trying to stay healthy....try a different fruit or something

You need to eat some REAL food.

Your diet is better than most, but you need to improve it.
First, you need to make sure to get the right amount of protein, fiber, and other things to keep you healthy. Also, keep your amount of intake constant. And skip the pop tarts!

Pop tarts have loads and tons of sugar. A banana is a starchy fruit (natural). Therefore the carbs from both adds up. You are having this twice daily; the both and that's a lot of carbs. Then the powerade is loaded also. Too many carbs increases the workload on your pancreas to produce insulin to break all this glucose down.

I feel that even though you eat the salad at lunch (you did not mention what's on the salad either) you need more veggies, fruits and natural carbs as opposed to the synthetic ones.
They don't wear your pancreas out as much.

If you cannot kick your pop tart routine, may be eat it in the morning so you can burn off the carbs by walking or exercise.
Make sure that the water outweighs the powerade per day.

Sweetheart, you have to eat healthy food! Like fruits and vegetables!! =D
