What does a torn bicep feel like?!

Question: I remember lifting weights on friday and I felt like something was ripping a little lower of my bicep I didn't know what was wrong so I stopped. I haven't lifted since and my arm doesn't hurt when I move it but is it close to be torn or something

It really depends on your pain tolerance....

I've personally never been unfortunate enough to do this, but I've talked to plenty of people that have had this injury.... And, the general consensus, for a "full" bicep tear, is that it "hurts like hell!!!"... Most people say, "Think of a groin pull and multiply that pain by 10.".... I've suffered several groin pulls/strains and I really do not envy those people that have had "full" bicep tears....

Now, you may have suffered a partial tear.... These happen to me all of the time.... Ironically enough, that is exactly what you are doing every time you train with wieghts!... Albeit, to a much lesser degree.

If this is what happened to you, then you're going about it the right way.... Give the injured area some rest, and slowly get back to your regular work-out...

Oh,... and one last thing,... STOP TRYING TO SHOW OFF FOR YOUR FRIENDS!!!... Most injuries, in the gym, happen when people are trying to show off for their friends (trying to lift more weight than what their bodies are ready for.)...

Rest that injury and good luck with your goals....

it takes alot to tear a bicep. if it actually ripped you wouldnt be able to move your arm.
