Plz help me...

you can get rid of them.. but the only way to get rid of them is to do what i tell u..

you need more cardio exercise.. whatever it may be that u want to do.... 25 - 40 mins 3 times a week.. u gotta burn your fat off

you need to reduce all those starchy carbs, cut down on your breads, pizza, pasta and limit sweats....

you need to workout your abs from every angle.. side front, uppear, lower, etc.. for about 10 mins every other day...

Sit ups?

Running/jogging.

Not too sure!

Stop eating crappy food and try to get active go for walks and and maybe a gym would help

kay..heres wat to do...do more cardio..eat smaller portions and healthier foods...no soda..more water...healthy snacks like fruit..crunches and abs exercises

Work the Obliques... those are the "Side abs".

The muscles that are under the layer of fat, in terms of love handles, are the obliquies.

Twist you body and feel them flex.

Take a long bar, put it over your shoulders, wrap your arms over it, and hold it with your hands. Then turn/twist your body from side to side, and do many reps. It's not that difficult of an excercise. You can also do it in a twirling motion. I'm sure you've seen people do this.

Another excercise that you can do is like a situp, but lie on your side and then flex your body up (sideway situps). Do this and you can feel the muscles working.

And Bloggard seems to be contradicting himself in a sense. He is somewhat correct in saying the the body loses fat all over. But if that is true then when you are concentrating on an area you are burning calories, hence you are burning them all over, but focusing on the area that you are wanting to build or tone. So you are accomplish BOTH. By doing aerobic excercise you are decreasing fat and you are toning the muscle underneath the area that you are focusing on. Think about doing situps. When you do situps, don't you have nice abs? YES. Again, you are burning calories within the body, including the layer of fat over the obliquies. And on top of that you are building up the obliquies so that they are toned once that fat is removed.

Of course we know that you have to burn more calories than you take in. Any moron can figure that out. But if you work an area then you will see a difference.

=)

First let me clear the air here a bit:

You cannot spot reduce fat; this goes for any fat in any part of your body. I know lots of TV ads say you can reduce "belly" fat or love handles by just working out the problem area. But that is FALSE.

Your body doesn't have any concept of location when it comes to fat loss. Why? Because fat is generally lost from all over your body, regardless of how much your work out or where. Your body is basicaly "brain dead" when it comes to losing fat.

However, your muscles are not "brain dead". They do grow bigger the more you work them out. But a lot of people fail to understand that:

1. Fat loss is not "spot fat loss".
2. Muscles can grow while fat still lingers just above.

You might end up getting very toned muscles beneath a gooey layer of fat that never seems to go away; this is probably why so many people get so frustrated.

They work what are known as the lateral obliques- the muscles beneath our love handles, just to the side of our abdominals- thinking 'Boy if I work my butt off and get my laterals really toned, I'll lose those pesky love handles once and for all!"

Wrong!

The only way to lose the love handes is to lose body fat in general. This means doing those things that are repeated over and over again for fat loss:

-Reduce caloric intake
-Increase fat-burning cardio, supplemented or alternated with muscle workouts; You don't lose fat just by doing aerobic exercises (in fact, lots of people think that if you run harder or faster you burn more fat: wrong! You want to work at moderate levels- because this is where most fat burning occurs.) If you push yoursef too much, you end up burning protein - that is, your own muscle- and you also get so sore the next day you give up altogether. So MODERATE AEROBIC EXERCISE- not MAX, is key. Biking, light jogging, even a brisk walk, should do the trick.

Secondly, always switch one day of aerobic with one day of weight-bearing exercises to build up muscle mass (it helps get a more toned look, even if it doesn't reduce fat directly), but it also burns calories. Here's why.

Muscle mass is twice as dense as fat, and it seems logical that muscles burn more calories than fat. For example, two people of the same weight, but different fat to muscle proportions, burn different amounts of calories. The leaner person with higher proportion of muscle will burn more calories even in a steady resting state, while the fatter person burns less. So the more of that fat you replace with muscle mass, THE MORE YOUR BODY BURNS FAT EVEN WHILE AT REST (of course, if you sit at rest too long you eventually replace the muscle with fat all over again).

Having said all this, I do think you can improve TONE in your lateral obiques by exercising these muscles. The problem for most people is that simple stomach crunches don't usually work the laterals too well.

I suggest twisting your torso just slightly to each side when doing a crunch so that when you body is coming up, you are emphasizing the laterals more than your abdominals. Alternate sides.

There are actually many exercises that work your laterals, and the following website has some good descriptions and illustrations:

But keep in mind what I said above: you cannot spot fat reduce. You can't just lose weight and fat in the love handles alone, but reducing fat all over will reduce the fat in the love handle area, too.

What you CAN do is:

-Lose weight- i.e. fat- by reducing calories (it doesn't take much, just 15-20% less per day will be good), and exercising wisely so that you can lose fat but build up muscle mass too.
-Tone the lateral obliques; this doesn't reduce fat in the love handles per se, but good tone improves appearance and posture.

Absent some major procedure like liposuction- which does spot reduce but is costly and risky- the above suggestions I made are your best bet. Good luck!
