What would be my ideal weight?!


Question: im an 18 year old girl 5'7"..i weigh 183 pounds....yes my weight is out of control but i already decided to take charge i stopped drinking soda almost a year ago..not even sips...i cut about 95 percent of any junk food out of my diet..i mean sometimes u need that confort but even when i do eat it..i make it a very small portion and i only drink water nothing else...almost no sugar intake and low carbs? so is this all good and what should my goal weight be?

One rule of thumb for women is to start with a base weight of 100 pounds and then multiple by 5 for each inch over 5 feet you are. In other words, for a woman who is 5'7, her ideal weight would be 100 + (5 X 7) or 135 pounds. However, since we don't live an idyllic world, I would say 10 pounds on either side would be good (i.e. between 125 and 145 pounds).

Hi, when I was sixteen I got up to 290 pounds. My ideal weight is about 210. You see everyone has a different ideal weight. Make an appointment with your doctor. I did and together we brought my weight under control. Your doctor can help you do it safely and get great results.
