Please suggest a good diet for weight loss

I need to lose around 20 pounds in 2 months

First you need to ask yourself what is holding you back right now from weighing your ideal weight. Some people struggle with diets because they can't eliminate certain foods they love. Others really want to eat all day long, or they are great during the day, but binge at night. You need to figure out what your struggle is and then address that in your diet.

Body for Life and Slim fast both have diets that address eating several times during the day (they include 3 meals and 3 snacks).
Sample:

Breakfast - 1/2 a whole wheat bagel with canadian bacon or a slim fast shake or a slim fast bar/power bar

Mid-morning snack - yogurt with protein powder mixed in or a slim fast snack bar or some fresh fruit

Lunch - Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice lunch or a piece of whole wheat bread with grilled chicken and some fruit, slim fast shake/bar

Afternoon snack - yogurt or slim fast snack or 1/2 an apple with some peanut butter

Dinner - Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice dinner with a side salad, some lean grilled chicken with fresh veggies

Dessert - fat free, sugar free pudding with protein powder mixed in or jello or sugar free popsicles or smart ones dessert

As you can see, you're eating all day long, but it's no more than 300 calories at each meal and 150 for a snack.

If your struggle is with eating too much at night, first make sure to eat during the day. People will eat very little during the day, knowing they eat a lot at night, and thinking it will balance out. This is a mistake because you can easily consume over 1500 calories in a caloric dinner and dessert and it's hard to control yourself when you've been hungry all day! Eating during the day will help prevent binging at night.

Also don't cut out everything. If you deprive yourself, then you'll go overboard when you have the chance. If you really like sweets, then have one cookie every day (but just one!) or a few hershey's kisses. If you really like chips, have a few with lunch. If it's ice cream, have a small cup each evening. Just be sure to control your portions.

Also, eat off of a smaller plate so your plate will look full and you'll feel like you're eating a lot more than you are.

Drink lots of water and tea. It'll keep you full and is good for your body!

Finally, don't get discouraged. You'll often lose a lot of water weight during the first week (3+ lbs easily), and then this will taper off over the course of the next few weeks. But if you stick with it, you'll see other big drops in the future. Conversely, if you give up after one week of no weight loss, your body will quickly regain the weight.

Hope this helps! You only need to lose 2.5 lbs per week which is a bit ambitious but totally healthy and realistic so if you follow a sensible plan and exercise, you can definitely do it!

slim fast is awesome, i have lost 30lbs in 1 1/2 months. 10 lbs in the first week but thats just water weight

Beer diet. Drink beer from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep, or pass out. Works great for me. And it's the easiest diet to stay on.

Losing twenty pounds in two months is a large amount of weight to lose in such a short amount of time.

One thing you can do is eliminate everything with a lot of sugar in it out of your diet. Especially sodas. Did you know that if you drink one soda a day for a year you gain 14 pounds? That's a lot of weight. Try using a balance of healthy carbs like organic pastas with things that will give you the energy to exercise like salads and fruits. Make sure you check the Nutrition Facts on the backs of what your eating and hit the gym.

However, I seroiusly doubt that you'll lose twenty, if you really dedicate yourself to it, you'll lose some of it.

Hope that helps

there is no miracle diet, eat a variety of foods, cut out junk and as much fat as possible and take regular exercise that leaves you slightly out of breath and sweaty. stick to it rigid and watch the pounds fall away. it's the only way, easier in theory than in principle.
