Can you eat oatmeal everyday?!

Question: Pretty much. I cook it very dry and don't put milk on it, just sugar. Now, when I am at my daughter's house and come down the stairs, the little 2 1/4 age twins run to me, then to the kitchen for their 2nd breakfast. The girls will do this too -- I've learned I will be cooking many bowls -- because I nuke a serving for 2 minutes.

My daughter was shocked to walk in and see the babies eating with me at the table. I guess she made oatmeal and didn't sit with them.

Right now I'm on a cottage cheese breakfast routine, but it's time to go back to oatmeal. I love it.

As part of this explanation I have to say that 3 years ago 1/3 of my stomach was cut out due to a bleeding ulcer... it just so happens when they take that part a person doesn't know if they are hungry or full -- so I eat when it seems like I should according to the clock.

Sure you can, it's a great breakfast. You're going to get real bored with it shortly though.

Yes, particularly with raisins and milk.

Yes there is nothing wrong with it.

yeah, but why would you want to?

I do... and I'm still alive!

yeah haven't you heard of the Quaker Oats 30 day challenge? It lowers cholesterol.

do you mean oatmeal only for the rest of my life? I don't think so.

Yes, in winter, every single day. Other seasons - some days I do, some days I don't. But, if I had the time, I would eat it everyday. Love it

Yes. It's good for you, unless you put a bunch of sugar on it or you are eating the instant stuff with all the additives.

i usually do and i am not dead. but if u want 2 try a new brand just 2 see if it hurts ur stomach. u dont want ur stomach 2 get completely accostumed 2 one type of breakfast food. so dont constantly eat oatmeal but once a day should be fine.

I've eaten oatmeal almost every single morning of my life and I'm 17.

It's possible :)

Sure, but be sure to combine it with other foods, lots of fruit and veggies, and some protein. Oatmeal is a very healthy cereal, with needed fiber. It isn't good to eat any food exclusively, but a bowl of oatmeal daily will do a lot to keep the doctor away. Eat it with lowfat milk and a minimum of sugar. It can also be included in cookies or muffins for a healthy snack.

yes

In a bowl for breakfast. in bread for lunch, and meatloaf for dinner.

I eat oatmeal for breakfast most of the time. They're really healthy especially if you're trying to lose weight.

it helps lower cholestrol but i think you would get sick of it if you ate it every single day...(thats wat happened to me...)

yup you can add sugar, maple syrup, choclate bits, to it so you can spice it up

definitely

Sure you can. Horses do, some of them.

Now, would you become bored with it, if you didn't adorn it with raisins, or cinnamon, or butter, or other condiments or flavourings like honey, vanilla, nutmeg, powdered or chunky chocolate?

Don't forget whip cream, real dairy whip cream. Or if you are urban in that way, the artificial stuff that comes in a spray or squirt can. Your choice. I like dairy natural better.

So bon appetit! Enjoy!

I love oatmeal. I would eat it every day but it is fattening
