First of all your friend probably won't thank you now, but will later. So i'd like to thank you for her and thank you for being such a good friend.

All i can think of is getting out there and doing stuff, keeping her busy....but after a marriage falling apart i understand why she's doing that.

I really don't know sorry.

Put a lock on the refrigerator door.

therapy and outside activities with groups to occupy her time and her mind.

The more you mention her binge eating, the more she will continue eating,i suggest you mention her going the gym with you or some kind of hobby to get her mind of her problems.

Getting her to exercise will help tremendously....it is great for depression and makes your self esteem improve. To get her going you might try the following... a dvd from beachbody.com called P90X kinda of a boot camp that makes you feel great/exercise dvd. But to get her exercising everyday I used the download and cd from www.independentacheivement.com called motivation to exercise. I just listen to it at night when I go to bed, and I wake up feeling great and very excited about exercising. For weight loss, I used their satisfied with half portions recording...worked for me.

im one of those people that constantly has to have food in my mouth or be chewing on something so what i do is set out bowls of fruit maybe a couple oranges and bananas on the counter and fill my fridge full of salad stuff, that way when i decide to eat alot atleast its healthy. i also try chewing gun ALOT or hard candy (no sugar). there have even been times when i've been on the computer and had a glass of ice, sounds wierd i know but it helps

Just try to be there for her as much as you possibly can... take that bowl of chips away from her or she will gain all kinds of weight.... believe me I know....

join the gym with her, this will give her something to do, meet new people & take a refound pride in her appearance.
