Why do my elbows crack when I do push-ups?!

do you straighten out your arms when you do push-ups to the point that you lock your elbows? Because they will naturally produce a cracking/clicking sound. However, I would like to note that it's bad practice to lock your elbows during push-ups. When your in the "upward" just let your elbow straighten out up to 80 degrees and then go "downward". It's safer for the joints and is a lot harder which results in a better workout.
mine do the same thing, i believe it's just releasing gas, like when you pop your fingures or neck
