I need some advice on losing weight?!


Question: Im 16, my height is 5'9 and I weigh 261 pounds. I have a problem with overeating. I dont go to school. I sit around basically eating all day. There was a time where I was motivated back in the fall and lost 10 pounds. Since then I was going to school but stopped. I need to learn how to cut down on foods, and when im bored, i need to stop telling myself I want to eat. I just have this addiction feeling that if i dont eat something, ill get weak. But once I eat I regret it. I dont have diabetis at all.

My parents are doing something about it and are getting me a treadmill next month. I was planning on walking an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening at 3.0 or 3.5 MPH. Just briskly walking. I would take 5 minutes breaks between each 30 minutes. I would walk 30 mintes then take a break for 5 then walk 30. Then count that as an hour (do the samething in the morning) I dont drink soda nomore. Between meals I would snack on a apple or something

i think you suffer from depression. you sound disinterested, and you are using food as a tranquilizer. prozac will definetly help. please get treated for depression. otherwise you will waste away these precious years.

plzzzz consult a doctor...ask 4 advice frm the doctor itself......i can only tell u 2 go on healthy diet n stop eatin junk foods in excess or just stop eatin!!!!!!!

Talk to a dietician about what can be done to improve your eating. Just doing it on your own rarely works. They can also get you onto an exercise regimen that would work best for you.
The treadmill is a start, but it's probably going to take more than that.
I don't know what the cost is in going to see the doctor about it, and you'll have to go back periodically to make sure everything is on track, but whatever the cost is, it's going to be cheaper than all the medical costs that will occur in the future if you don't get help.

First of all avoid taking milk and milk products like milk sweets, coffee ,tea, cocoa etc. You can take butter milk and curd. Totally avoid salt in food the natural salt available in the vegetables is enough for your good health. Next if possible do the following yoga exercises everyday.
1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat & creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest & reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc,etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )

Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach & intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magic.

Yes, I had to cut out the soda. I used a recording called Increase Your Desire for Water. And now that's all I drink. I felt I had an unstoppable addiction to foods and especially sweets, I really enjoy what finally got me off the sweets and eating less and exercising more. Part of what I do is the beachbody.com P90X dvd home workout...it's GREAT... The other thing I do is the subconscious motivational recordings from www.independentachievement.com These have really cut the addiction feelings and I have both the cds and downloads. Both have gotten me to where I wanted to be weight and fitness wise.
