Need to lose 13 pounds?!

Question: I have been on Weight Watchers for 4 months, and I have lost 10 lbs, but I am getting married and cannot seem to lose the last 13 lbs. I need to lose this 13 lbs in about 7-8 weeks, is there any way to do this other than what i have been doing? This is so frustrating! Thanks alot in advance!

I suggest you cut out all breads and junkfood/ sweets/ desserts/ chocolate, and only drink skim or lowfat milk, juice and water.

Running, while it can be hard, is AMAZING on the body! If you workout at least once a day, it will help redirect all your daily calories (you should be eating about 1500/day right now). Even going to sleep (which you probably need if you start exercising) 1 or 2 hours earlier can help, as you burn 60 calories an hour sleeping! To help tone your body, try to do 250 sit-ups a day, and 100 pushups (which will make your upper-body and arms wedding dress ready).

This is not an obvious weight loss method, but studies show that DAILY STRETCHING, which realeases toxins from your blood and muscles, can help you have a better attitude and view on losing weight, and help you lose it faster.

Remember to eat slowly, because your body can only tell when it's full ten minutes after you are full. Enjoy life and your new husband by getting off that couch to get some fresh air!!!

diet is everything...and throwing in some nice cardio to get up ur metabolic rate wouldnt hurt...hope u lose it

Excrise when ever you can. Park farther away in parking lots ect. ANYTHING can be exrcise. I also recomend eating less than you have before. It works. Stay longer in the gym. You will loose it. DON'T give up! :)

I've always sworn by cycling. If you ride your bike for as long as you can every day, you will lose some weight. Eat some CLIF bars while you're biking so you dont get too hungry.

Try to eat a lot of fiber for breakfast.

Walk as many places as you can.

Take the stairs ...

Congratulations. Marriage is great. You'll look great too.

wow great job! im jealous :)
well...if you are extremely desperate, you can try this method: not eating after 5 pm. (even limiting water). i lost 10 pounds in about a week and a half for an event that i needed to go to. yes, it may sound crazy, but it always works for me....and the first 3 days are the hardest days. after that, you get used to it.

seeing that you have 7-8 weeks, you probably do not have to go to this length. this method is just for a quick drop. if you want to keep it permanent, you have to continue to limit what you eat etc.

why not try the gym? you have lots of time to lose weight! :) good luck

in response to person above:
i definitely do not recommend eating while exercising. that totally defeats the purpose of exercising if you are exercising to lose weight.

Try mixing up your activity to use muscles that you don't normally use. You body adjusts to the similar movement and each activity only targets specific areas.
Also try boosting up the intensity level. Longer periods of exercise or faster/quicker should help.

Another issue may be diet. Do you have excess calories sneaking through. Try looking at all your liquid consumptions. Think juice, alcohol, salad dressings, sauces. They often contain hundreds of hidden calories.

Most people hit a plateau in weight loss, you have to work extra hard to move past your mark. 2 months is a long time, so be consistent and patient and you should do fine :)

Excercise 5x a week for an hour, cardio would be the best thing. A weight-training workout or pilates session 2-3x a week would do you good too. Trying to eat unprocessed foods, sticking to fruits and veggies as snacks, and cutting back on carbs would reap additional benefits. Follow the point system to keep you in check. Other pointers:LOTS of water, smaller meals with breakfast being the largest, salad before lunch and dinner, and fruit for dessert. hope this helps.

drink alot of water, and just try to burn more calories then you take in. congrats on getting married!
