Honey and Weight loss?!


Question: I am using a table spoon of honey instead of sugar with each cup of tea I drink. (I drink about 2 daily). Will this ruin my diet??

No. Honey contains fewer calories and carbohydrates than sugar since it contains water. Plus it has traces of vitamins and minerals. 1 teaspoon of honey only has about 22 calories, hardly enough to ruin your diet. I'd say you're making a healthy choice.

Honey is just predigested nectar, or basically bee vomit. It is no different than any sugar as far as your body is concerned. That amount of sugar won`t hurt your diet, exercise and a good balanced diet equals weight loss.

I don't think it is good, but as people say "honey is good for a sore tummy" so it might be good, but just be aware, check your weight every time you add honey in your drink, and check what your weight was like when you drank with sugar. Compare and then stick with the best result.
