First of all, there is nothing wrong with weight and body if you are eating a healthy diet and moderate exercise is performed. Being 5'10" at 130 lbs, I would say you are an ectomorph which is the body type that says you have a fast metabolism with high muscle connections. If this is the case, I am afraid that it will be difficult for you to put on weight but it does not mean you cant. Your exercises in the weight room should emphasive multi joint exercise like bench press, squats, deadlifts, military press, barbell curls, chins up, seated rows and calf presses. No explosives exercises, they are dangerous and are not needed to get strong. Second, since you have an ectomorph body, it is easy for you to overtrain therefore, do no more than three sets for a particular exercise and train between two to three days a week. YOu dont have to perform all the exercises in one sitting but you can break it up. I would concentrate on the three to four weeks performing exercises to break you so you can get use to exercise. The repetitions would be high so you can learn the skill of performing exercises over the weight lifted. After the break in, I would drop you dont to two sets of six exercises with 3 performed one day and the other performed three days later. Each set would be done to failure and you are in and out of the gym. THey would be multijoint like bench press, squat, pull-downs on one day and leg press, dips and rows the other day. After about 4 weeks of this, I would trip it down to one set of each and begin adding exercises to see the effects it would have on your body. You dont want to do too much but just enough to stimulate the muscles (thats why the set is done to failure).
About food, eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables every day with seeds and nuts like sunflower and walnuts. Eat lean protein sources like fish, beans, eggs, chicken. Do not waste time with protein shakes, most people get enough protein. All this should start the body climbing in size if you are eating enough and stimulating the muscles enough to adapt.

Eat Mc Donalds every day!

Eat a cake a day. Just build muscle..stick to the weights

eat loads of fatty foods - chocolate, cake, take away. Also do as little excersize as possible. BTW there is nothing wrong with being skinny.

you eat more and don't exercise as much but enough to keep ur muscle and even gain some

carbs carbs carbs
protein shakes - information about protein powder and supplements
Protein shakes are in my opinion probably the most important supplement there is, and it is basically the only supplement that I use and will ever use. First off, unless you are taking something crazy like 800 grams of it a day or more, it is completely safe. No side effects or anything. Why do I use it and why is it so important? Well, because protein is the most important part of your diet, whether your goals are to increase muscle and get bigger and stronger, or lose weight and lose fat and get/stay lean. Protein is the building block of muscle, and without enough of it, your body won't build muscle.

So the obvious thing to be thinking now is, "why do I need protein shakes, can't I just get enough of it from regular foods?" The answer to that question is yes! But the problem here is, since we all know that for best results we should try to eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, it gets VERY hard to eat so much regular food every day. Not many people have time to make chicken breasts all day long, which is where protein shakes come in. They take just a minute or 2 to prepare, just scoop out the powder, put it in a cup, pour in a liquid of some kind (anything from water, to milk, to fruit juice), and mix it with a spoon for about 20 seconds, and drink. Each scoop usually has about 17.5 grams of protein (with basically zero fat and zero carbs) and is WAY more convenient then eating a regular food.

Of course, you should try to get most of your daily protein from regular foods, however, there are a few times of the day where protein shakes would be better then eating a regular food. One of these times is first thing in the morning. Your body has not eaten for the last 8 or so hours while you were sleeping, so a whey protein shake (which is the fastest digesting protein there is) would be the perfect thing to give your body. The same goes for directly after your workout. This is probably the most important time to have a shake. Since you just worked out, your muscles need to rebuild and repair themselves, and this is the most important time to give your body protein, so a shake right now would be a great idea.

I use Designer Protein Powder for my protein shakes. Why? Well, you must first make sure that the brand you buy is top quality, because there are tons of low quality powders around. Designer is one of, if not the best quality powder there is. They are the #1 selling powder in America (or at least it says that on the bottle). The next thing you have to look at when buying a protein powder is its taste. Trust me, no matter what brand you buy, none taste great. So, you just have to buy the one that tastes "best" and Designer is one of the best tasting powders there is. It won a whole bunch of taste test awards and all that junk, but take it first hand from me, of all the powders and protein shakes I've tried, this is the best tasting one. It comes in a whole bunch of flavors, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry (and more). I personally use and like the Strawberry the best.

Now comes price. A bottle of Designer Protein Powder is sold for $30.00 at your local GNC, which is where I used to buy it until I found a web site that sells it cheaper. So, I'd suggest buying all of your protein shakes, bars, powder and supplements online at this web site for the lowest price I've seen it for, which is $15.95. Start taking creatine and working out. A brand like NOxplode. It helps build water mass in your muscles. and it DOES NOT have any bad affects.

1. do more ab workouts, crunches, lunges, squats, and less cardio, like jumping rope/exercises that raise your heart rate.
2. eat more meat? but not something like mcdonalds, because that aint healthy. take in more calories per day, and youll eventually gain weight, i guess.
3. not sure

Ha! How funny, most people are trying to lose weight and you are trying to gain it, must be an absolute amazing problem to have!!! :)

the first thing you may want to do is go to a doctor and get a physical. there's a chance that your metabolism is to blame (and the culprit could be an over-active thyroid). if this is the case, medication will do the trick.

once your doctor makes sure there's nothing physically wrong with you, ask him/her for advice on gaining weight. you'd be surprised how helpful your doctor and/or a dietitian can be.

from someone who gained weight playing football, to gain weight you want to do workouts that involve less reps with more weight, to improve muscle mass as opposed to endurance.
the best/cheapest food to eat to gain weight is chocolate milk and burritos, easy, and full of protein.
Just buy some whey protein mix from a GNC or something, and add whatever fruits/yogurts makes it taste good, its all about mixing and matching til you find something you like

Exercise, exercise, exercise. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. As for as protein shakes go, you can buy stuff that you just mix with water. It is also fairly reasonable. Don't let people tell you that you have to buy the expensive protein mixes. Protein is protein. It doesn't matter how much you pay for it. When it comes to working out. The more reps the better. The particular exercise doesn't matter, as long as you stick to it.

eat candy ALOT and go to McDonalds everyday for a week then workout and be on a diet for a week then go to McDonalds alot again.... etc. until you gain 3 pounds

Ya i'm about 6ft, weight 145 lbs, and i'm 16 yrs old. what i do the most, is i eat a lot of meat, beef, and eat eggs often. That will help u gain healthy calories, squatting is a good exercise, you could also do biceps. as for the protein shake, the one that's my favorite is this.
Get a blender and throw in about 3-4 banananas, put in low-fat or fat free skim milk until it reaches to the hight at which the bananana is, not too much tho, and then add some honey in there. blend it, and enjoy...it's really good and smooth---good luck

a good weight gainer ensure liek for babies and old ppl but help with the weight plus has alot of protine, as for your shake i recomend buying soem protien mix at a drug store the more expensve the better the stuph
as for workouts yes squats are always good but you can only rrely on power lifts , little things liek situps and push ups can do alot if done right,
try this workout when u go to workout u already have all your lifts right well instead of doing say 3 sets of 6 do 100 reps
when u do this use about 1/4 the weight u usually use and do it 100 times, it dosent matter how many sets u do, just as long as u do as many as u possably can in those sets

eat a lot!!!eat sweet foods!

The three main exercises in the gym are the squat, deadlift, and bench press. No workout will be complete without them. Just be sure to use proper form.
As for eating I suggest a lot of protein! Chicken breasts are great, somewhat expensive though. Also tuna is amazing. They are packed in protein with little fat. Keep in mind that fatty foods will give you the calories you need to gain weight, but they are unhealthy for the heart. So to get your calories load up on carbs. Pasta is great. Also you may want to infest in a bulking mix from your local health store. As the clerk what they recommend. Taste and mixability (how it mixes with milk/water) are the most important.
Just try your best man. You are pretty skinny and it may just be your genetics keeping you thin but it's worth a try. Keep lifting hard (but make sure you get your rest periods) and eat BIG (i don't mean cake, I mean lots of non sugar carbs and protein)

beans and corn bread or try a all beef diet and pork
