How can I feed my family healthier?!

Question: I have been just diagnosed with Crohns Disease and had cancer 4 years ago. It is time for some major changes in my diet and I need to start eating alot healthier. I have been told to eat all organic foods but I just went to the grocery store and it is expensive enough to eat healthy but eating organic breaks the wallet. I can't afford to eat all organic even though I would love to, how can I incorporate organic food with healthier food without draining me finacially?

grow your own vegatables?

Do you have any fresh markets around? They may be cheaper there. I'm not sure that anyone can afford to eat all organic foods. It's very expensive. I would still go ahead and make the changes to eating healthier. Make sure that you are cleaning your fruits and veggies really good. Maybe you could just start out by buying just organic meat.

My big expense is in the meat.

I am allergic to the hormones and antibiotics put in the meat, so I buy that organic.

The veggies, I grow myself. Yes, it can be difficult to do, but it is worth it in the long run.

I even make my own bread so I know what is going into it.
