I need to lose weight....?!


Question: Right now I weight 186lbs. and I need to get down to about 155 lbs. sometime soon. Then I'm going to gain my weight back with muscle and go back up to 170lbs.. I need to get back up to 170 by November when wrestling season starts again. I run 6 miles a day and do weightlifting 4 times a week doing power lifting to lose the weight. Can you give me some advice on the fastest healthiest way to do this? What foods should I eat? What workouts should I do to gain my weight back with muscle and maintain it?

Your body needs a certain amount of fuel (food) each day to stay alive and do any exercise/activities that you're involved in. If you eat slightly less than this amount then your body will burn fat to make up the difference. If you eat way less than this amount, you'll go into starvation mode and won't lose anything.

Figure out how many calories you need to eat each day to lose weight, how many extra calories you burn through exercise, and how many calories are in the foods you eat. You can do all of that here:
