People think linear. For example, I'll lose 3 pounds a week for the next 12 weeks. The body, unfortunately, doesn't think linear. In fact, the body is remarkably adept at adaptation. This means that most things it does look more like steps on a graph then a ski slope. Believe it or not, this answers your question.

First, expect to plateau. It's what the body naturally does. That way it is not as emotionally draining when it happens.

Second, when you plateau your body is telling you it has adapted. So shake things up. Change your workout. If you were lifting a lot, do more cardio. If you were walking, start running. What you do matters less then you putting new stressors on your body. Eventually, your body will adapt again, but you already know this and what to do. It has the added benefit of keeping things fresh.

Have you tried weight lifting along with cardio? This can really boost your metabolism. good luck

Try increasing your cardio time. It happens. Just don't get discouraged. Keep pushing!!

Low carb does not work. Dr. Atkins died fat, hun. :] Try alternating your calorie intake. For example, have 1300 calories one day and 1500 the next. Make sure you stick you lean meats, complex whole grain carbs, veggies, fruits, and low fat dairy. NO fried foods, sugar, diet drinks or sweeteners [aspartame causes cancer and causes weight gain], or hydrogenatedpartially hydrogenated oils. Try cardio, pilates, swimming, martial arts and weight lifting.
Also, drink unsweetened green tea or just plain black tea and FIBER, Tea has antioxidants abd fiber keeps you full and keeps your heart healthy. :]

Hello
Some interesting new research by a doctor has identified several species of parasites and a specific type of goopy plaque that if left in your bowels makes you fat, bloated, developing a pouch and spare-tire belly.
