I'm 17years old, how can i lose 30 pounds? 10pts for best answer?!


Question: i'm 5'2" and 144pounds, which puts my BMI at 25.8, which according to the child/teen BMI calculator is "borderline overweight" i need to begin a diet to lose pounds. they say a reasonable weight for a 5'2" teen is 110-115, so thats where i want to be

i want to know how much i should eat of the food groups: bread, veggies, fruit, dairy, meat, fat/sugar. like, should i make fruits and veggies 50% of my diet? meat 15%? fat less than 2%? i havent a clue. (i dont drink pop btw) and for exercise, where should i start? i was thinking of jogging for 15-20minutes a day on the tredmill and playing a bit of volleyball each day for starters. i'll probably up my exercising after awhile.....

i know what you mean babe! everyone wouldnt mind being a little slimmer around the edges! well i would make fruits, veggies, and fibers a big part of your diet. if you want to endulge yourself in something sweet, (i mean everyone claims that they will stay true to a diet.....but we all know that sometimes people will cheat out and have a little bit of that snickers bar in the back of the fridge.) try and have some low fat low clorie snack. dried fruit and nuts is a great option. you also want to drink lots and lots of water. about eight glasses a day. as for the exercise, i would run a few times a week and stay actice instead of watching MTV on your couch. run laps, sit up are good, go to teh gym and lift weights! youll feel great if you stick to your diet and your execise plans. but trust me, you are beautiful the way you are. you just have to except that yourself. good luck and you can reach me by email f you have anymore questions.

ok well, first you need a diet. Try to eat low fat and carb meals, For your weight stik to eating around a thousand calories a day. Now, while on your diet make sure you are consuming food every 2 hours. So you need to eat a little bit but frequently and it should add up to around 1000. Now, what i am telling you is the fast way to lose weight. You need to run everyday or as frequently as possible. And even lift weights. Lifting weights will help you lower your body fat but only if you do it a certain way. While lifting weights lift weight that you can easily do 12 times. Do this a lot for a specific body part every day.

ex.

Monday-chest and triceps
Tuesday-shoulders
Wednesday-back
Thursday-legs
Friday-Biceps and wrist

Each time you lift the weight it is called a rep. A certain amount of reps equals a set. Ex 12 reps = 1 set. Now you should do different excersizes for each muscle group and do around 3-4 sets for each excersise you do. Running while lifting light weights along with a proper diet will burn off those punds fast

I suggest you to visit a nutritionist to give you the best advice based on your body type,your eating habit, your hight and everything.....working out is the second best thing after managing ur eating habits ,,,,go to gym for 2 hours a day do alot of cardio and a little of wieghts....eat 3 meals a day no oily food,white bread,full fat milk , eat alot of fruites n vegetables dont forget to steam the chicken or the fish instead of fring it with oil .....i hope it will work for you good luck ....am still on a diet like that i lost 20 pounds in 3 months.....

It's pretty easy. Here are the rules:
1) Eat 3 meals a day. Don't eat anything else, ever.
2) Don't eat anything that comes in a bag or plastic wrapper.
3) Find some kind of exercise you enjoy and do it regularly.
4) Don't try to loose the weight in a specific amount of time.
