Back trouble in the making: how to prevent the inevitable?!
Question: As a dog groomer, I find myself doing A LOT of heavy lifting...mostly of 90 lb Labs that wiggle and squirm, making it very difficult to use safe lifting methods. Both of my parents are over 5'10" (as am I) and have terrible back problems. Is there anything I can do to prevent the inevitable back trouble of my own?

You should do some stretching as you get your day started, drink lots of water, and breathe deeply,
Stretching lengthens the muscles, and allows them to become more pliable
Water keeps the soft tissues fluid, and not stiff
and breathing will help the oxygen to reach those most used muscles to also help keep them tone, fluid, and pliable, it also helps to eliminate pain
Strengthen you core muscles , abdominals help to strengthen the back as well. Learn to lift properly !
