What is this exercise called? Does anybody know???!

Question: It is where you put your hand behind your head and kind of do a sit up but your right elbow touches your left knee and you go down and then your left elbow touches your right knee etc, it is meant to help get a flat stomach?

What you describe are oblique sit-ups. They help your stomach muscles (on the sides of your waist) and your lower back.

It helps the obliques, your waistline.

Sounds like the oblique crunch.

It's called a twisting crunch. The purpose of the exercise is to work the upper abs and obliques.
